Our forth port was Ajaccio, Cosica. It's main claim to fame is that Napoleon was born here. If you didn't know that fact, you'd know soon enough. All the stores have small statues for sale of him and there are big ones all over the place. His maternal uncle has his painting collection in the museum (now I wonder how he got so many paintings.)
I thought I'd go to the beach here, but evidently the beaches around Ajaccio are nothing special so we went shopping. Some of us also went to the Musée Fesch, a Museum.
The port town is very much like some of the Caribbean islands, and very clean. You can walk the entire town. Shopping was a little difficult since few shopkeepers speak English and Tonya's French was a little rusty and mixed a little too much with Spanish. The open market in town was especially nice and we ate our way through it.
